My Roommate Is the Empress

The Empress of the Great Yao Dynasty is killed when rebels storm her palace—and wakes up in the body of Su Nian, a freshly graduated modern-day woman drowning in unpaid wages and a landlord's endless harassment. Her seemingly ordinary roommate, Lu Fan, keeps stepping in to help. Armed with an emperor's iron will, Su Nian takes on the petty cruelties of modern city life and slowly adapts—never guessing that this shared apartment was his long-planned, tender pursuit. In the end, Su Nian finds her footing in the modern world, and she and Lu Fan fall for each other and find love.
