Taiwanese cultural creative designer Lin Xiaoxing, stuck in a creative rut, crosses the sea to Ningbo in search of intangible cultural heritage. After enduring the trials of apprenticeship, she and a local craftsman blend mud-gold painted lacquer with gourd carving, unexpectedly unlocking a master-disciple connection separated by decades across the strait. Together with young people from both sides, they build an intangible cultural heritage creative IP and choose to put down roots in Ningbo to carry forward the Chinese cultural lineage.
