By the Tao River, the old guardian Cairang solemnly passes the guardian's armband to his son Zhaxi. But Zhaxi fails in his duty and succumbs to corruption, and the Tao River grows murkier day by day. After a serious investigation by the discipline commission, young Dongzhu takes up the heavy responsibility of guarding the source and leads everyone in a full-scale cleanup, finally restoring a clear, sparkling bend to the Tao River. This winding path of three generations of guardians proves that to guard the source, one must first guard the heart—rivers share one source, and human hearts share one purity.
