Mom, I've Been Looking for You All Along

When Lin An was a child, her gambling-addicted father Lin Decai sold her away, driving her birth mother Zhu Xiuying to madness. As an adult, Lin An searches for her mother but mistakes her father's second wife, Liu Fengxia, for her real mother. After Zhu Xiuying is brought to the city and mistreated by Liu Fengxia, she regains her sanity. Liu Fengxia and Lin Decai lie that they will sell their daughter again to force her back to the village, and even plot to silence her and seize her money. Li Jieze, who accompanies Zhu Xiuying back to the village, obtains a paternity test and learns the truth. On his return, he witnesses the two kidnapping Zhu Xiuying, and Lin Decai knocks him unconscious. Lin An arrives and wrongly blames Zhu Xiuying, but Li Jieze wakes up and reveals the truth. The villains are finally punished, and Lin An and Zhu Xiuying are reunited as mother and daughter.
