Where Love Finds Its Way

Six years ago, on a rainy night in Jiangcheng, Lin Zhixia slipped away after a one-night entanglement with Gu Yanchen, taking with her an old wallet-sized photo. After becoming pregnant, she was thrown out by her son-preferring parents and gave birth to her daughter, Lin Nian, alone. Lin Nian has the rare panda blood type and suffers from a congenital hematopoietic disorder, so Lin Zhixia spent five years delivering food to save up for her medical bills. Gu Yanchen, believing his low sperm count meant he could never have children, never suspected a thing. Then his mother, Shen Manqin, fainted during her morning exercise and was found by Lin Nian, who was delivering food; Lin Zhixia performed first aid and rushed her to the hospital. Lin Nian accidentally dropped the old photo, and Shen Manqin recognized the child's features as strikingly similar to Gu Yanchen's as a boy, and was certain this was her granddaughter. Gu Yanchen, however, dismissed it as a scam and treated them coldly—until the doctor informed him that direct relatives cannot donate blood, and his certainty began to waver. Bai Ruoning bribed a doctor to produce a fake report, and a heartbroken Lin Zhixia walked away. Shen Manqin secretly redid the paternity test and confirmed that Lin Nian was indeed her granddaughter. Gu Yanchen, consumed with guilt, set out to win his wife back—just as Lin Nian fell critically ill. After a successful match, he donated bone marrow to save the girl. To care for their daughter, the two moved in together in name only, and Gu Yanchen was moved by her resilience, his guilt turning into love. Bai Ruoning's repeated schemes were all exposed, and she was left utterly disgraced. Gu Yanchen tore up their agreement and pursued his wife on his own initiative, helping her open a community service station and proposing to her publicly on opening day. Lin Nian recovered, and the family of three was reunited.
