Wait for the Wind, Watch the Flowers Bloom

While keeping vigil for her late husband, Lady Shen, mistress of the Marquis's estate, is stunned to see mysterious subtitles appear—revealing that her husband not only faked his death but is at this very moment hiding in the coffin, carrying on with his elder brother's wife. Facing this long-premeditated betrayal, Shen turns the scheme against them and throws the estate gates wide open, inviting guests from far and wide. Step by step she tightens the net: she exposes the pair's scandal before a crowd of witnesses, uses her unborn child to force her mother-in-law into submission, and personally hands down a cup of poisoned wine to end her scoundrel husband's life. In the end, Shen clears away every obstacle through sheer cunning and takes sole command of the Marquis's estate—living out the life of a clear-eyed, coldly ruthless leading lady.
