Chronicles of the Nightmare Market

Lin Mo, a gentle-natured Chinese literature student, encounters a mysterious woman named Su Yeli on a rainy night and is caught in a collapsing alley. On the brink of death, a residual nightmare spirit is implanted within him, making him the world's only half-human, half-nightmare being. From then on he is torn between his human nature and his nightmare nature—he retains a mortal's kindness and empathy, yet is ruled by the instinct to devour nightmares. He can no longer touch the ordinary world of men, and if his emotions spiral out of control, he will drain the life force of the living.
