The Whole Village Was Sold on a Trip—I Bought Them Back

Jiang Ping and Meng Yao return to their hometown, where fellow villager Wu Liang lures the entire village with a fake free vacation—only to trap them near the Myanmar border, waiting to be sold. To save everyone, Meng Yao, who comes from a family of magicians, exploits the gambling addiction of Wang Laowu and takes him on in a deadly game of chance. When Meng Yao's father, Meng Gang, is captured, father and daughter are forced into a life-or-death bet against each other; they fake a falling-out and use secret signals to stall for time. What looks like a disastrous loss is actually a cover—they have already alerted the police. At the critical moment, Liu Qiang turns the tables and helps, the police arrive in time, and the trafficking ring is caught. The whole village is rescued, and everyone learns a hard lesson: stay alert against scams and gambling, and never believe in windfalls that fall from the sky.
