The Mist-Docked Train

Along the mist-shrouded border of the Cang Kingdom, a disaster at a sacrificial altar ten years ago brought tragedy and left the chief high priest, Lu Chen, wrongly accused. Wearing a black iron mask, he drives the Mist-Docked Train as it drifts across the sea of fog. Su Zhan, a woman of the Lamp-Scattering clan, is expelled from her people and branded with a curse mark for her kindness in saving wounded soldiers—and unexpectedly boards the train. Traveling together, the two pursue clues, parting layer after layer of fog to uncover the buried injustice and restore truth and justice to the world. Once the wrongful case is cleared, they give up fame and office, choosing instead to put down roots in Mist Mountain Town. There they use lamps to dispel the poisonous miasma and protect travelers and the border folk. Guiding others with a faint light, comforting hearts through companionship, they write their own redemption with perseverance and goodwill.
